BIOGRAPHY (Updated 2026)
Singer, songwriter and guitarist Jesse Nolan Mills is an artist currently writing , recording and working out of his home studio in Northern California. With 4 Albums released, 2 Ep’s and many singles, he has built an impressive catalog of more than 70 original songs released to date.
At 19, he packed up an old Chevy van and left NY to drive across the country to California to start his life and pursue music opportunities. There he met his wife and raised a family, while building a 30+ year career in the construction business all while keeping music as a priority with daily dedication through practice, writing , recording, networking and playing live.
With Jesse’s grit and commitment over the years, the music never left. Any spare time he has is spent writing songs, practicing, recording and performing. He has worked with a wide circle of musicians with collaborations throughout California , his vision eventually took shape as the Jesse Mills Band which has now become a rotating collective of players brought together to record and perform his songs.
Now hitting his stride as both a vocalist and guitarist, Mills brings decades of life experience to his songwriting. Over time he has developed his vocals into a soulful, raspy sound that is distinctive and recognizable. He is an accomplished guitarist, drawing from a wide range of techniques and influences to create a diverse and distinctive sound of his own. He has also spent his life learning the craft of recording and he records, produces and mixes his music himself.
His approach is raw and organic with no shortcuts. Just honest songs, good musicians and the goal of creating and growing as an artist as long as he can.
